AhlulBayt News Agency - A vehicle laden with explosives detonated at a check-point of the Shi'ite militia Hashd al-Shaabi today, May 22nd, in Sulaiman Bag sub district of Salahaddin province, northern Iraq.
Muhammad Fayaq, an official in Tuz Khurmatu said that the blast took place today at 7:00 am at the entrance of Sulaiman Bag sub district which left several people dead and injured.
The vehicle was carrying 50 rockets and a huge amount of explosives which were intended to be taken through the checkpoint.
The driver reportedly attempted to escape before blowing up the vehicle, but he was shot dead by the men at the checkpoint.
However, the vehicle exploded and killed two Shi’ite militias and wounded 11 others.
